Odamax.com: Simplifying and Enhancing the Global Travel Experience with Innovative Reservation Solutions

Odamax.com, an Etstur brand, is a digital platform that offers users online reservation services for nearly 200 thousand facilities from all over the world. Odamax.com, which makes thousands of properties accessible to users in Turkey and around the world, offers countless options to meet accommodation needs, whether for vacations or business trips. Odamax.com, which offers many accommodation alternatives such as boutique hotels, apartments, and hostels in addition to chain hotels and facilities, is a rich resource in the field of online hotel reservations with its increasing variety of facilities.

As a product designer, I was part of the team responsible for the development and implementation of these innovative solutions. My responsibilities ranged from conceptualization to implementation of the design to ensure that our products were not only visually appealing but also highly functional and user-friendly. I've also been involved in collecting customer feedback and insights that enable us to continually improve our products and stay ahead of industry trends.

Problems and Solutions

The Odamax redesign project aims to improve the current user experience and provide users with a more functional reservation platform. During the project, some key problems were identified and addressed with the following solutions:

Complex User Interface: The old design presented a complex and convoluted user interface, which resulted in users spending excessive time completing their booking process. The solution was to adopt a user-friendly interface design. The new design provides a simple and intuitive interface that allows users to navigate easily.

Insufficient Information: In the previous design, users did not have sufficient information about the facilities. This made it challenging for users to make informed choices. The solution was to incorporate richer content that provides more detailed information about the facilities. Users are now presented with hotel features, room types, image galleries, and location information to aid their decision-making.

Search and Filtering Challenges: The old design posed difficulties for users during the search and filtering processes. Users had to spend unnecessary time searching for properties that met their criteria. The solution was to introduce advanced search and filtering options. Users can now easily search and filter results based on criteria such as location, price, room type, and facility features.

Lack of Visual Appeal: The previous design had limited visual appeal and failed to leverage its potential to engage users. The solution was to adopt a modern and visually appealing design language.

This redesign project addresses significant problems to enhance the user experience and position Odamax as a more competitive platform. The new design enables users to have an easier, faster, and more enjoyable reservation experience.

The "My Reservations" section provides a comprehensive overview of upcoming bookings, including the hotel name, check-in/check-out dates, and room details. This allows users to stay organized and have all the necessary information readily available.

  2. Reservation Management: Within the "My Reservations" section, users have the ability to manage their bookings. They can view and update reservation details, such as modifying the dates, room type, or adding special requests.   2. Payment Options: Users are presented with various payment options to choose from. They can securely complete their payment using credit/debit cards, digital wallets, or other available payment methods. The payment process is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, ensuring a seamless checkout experience.
