As the co-founder of ProjectMind design company and a solution partner with VNGRS, our mission is to revolutionize the shopping experience for mall visitors in Dubai by making it simpler, more innovative, and engaging. Our innovative solutions are currently implemented in some of the largest and most advanced mall systems in the region, including Dubai Mall, City Center Deira, and Mall of the Emirates. In my role as a product designer, I have been an integral part of the team responsible for the development and implementation of these innovative solutions. My responsibilities have ranged from conceptualization to design execution, ensuring that our products are not only visually appealing but also highly functional and user-friendly. I have also been involved in gathering customer feedback and insights, enabling us to continually refine our products and stay ahead of industry trends.

Problem

In bustling shopping malls and touristic areas, one common issue faced by visitors is the inconvenience of carrying multiple packages throughout their shopping or sightseeing experience. Data has shown that managing multiple bags can negatively impact the overall enjoyment of a person's holiday or daily excursion.

Solutions

To address this problem, a user-friendly mobile application has been developed to streamline the shopping experience and minimize the burden of carrying multiple packages. The solution involves a seamless process that benefits both shoppers and retailers.

  • Step 1: QR Code Scanning

    At participating shopping outlets, users can scan a QR code on their package. This code is then registered within the mobile application, enabling the shopper to easily track their purchases and manage their shopping experience.

  • Step 2: Package Drop-off

    Once the QR code has been scanned, the user can hand over their package to the cashier. This alleviates the need for shoppers to carry their packages around the mall or touristic area, providing a more enjoyable and hassle-free experience.

  • Step 3: Delivery Scheduling

    Within the mobile application, users can select a preferred delivery location and time for their packages. This allows for a high degree of flexibility, as shoppers can choose to have their items delivered to a hotel, home, or another designated location on the same day or a future date.

This innovative solution enhances the shopping experience for visitors in busy malls and touristic areas by eliminating the inconvenience of carrying multiple packages.
