Project Overview

RubikPara is a next-generation fintech ecosystem offering comprehensive solutions for both businesses and end users — including SMBs, individual clients, merchant networks, and point-of-sale providers.

Over the course of a 2-year design partnership, I led the entire product design process: from UX strategy to design systems, mobile and web interfaces, onboarding flows, and analytics dashboards.

The goal was to modernize every touchpoint and transform financial operations into a seamless, transparent, and user-centric experience — all while maintaining strict compliance and scalability for future growth.

Role & Scope

As the lead product designer on RubikPara, I was responsible for shaping the entire product experience — across both B2B and B2C fronts.

  • Complete UX flows for mobile and web
  • A centralized and scalable design system
  • Onboarding and registration processes
  • Merchant-facing dashboards and business tools
  • Visual consistency and product branding

From discovery to delivery, I owned the UX/UI direction and collaborated closely with product and engineering teams to ensure consistent execution at every level.

Note: The marketing website for RubikPara (rubikpara.com) was developed independently and is not part of this case study. However, it can be visited for a better understanding of the product itself.

Interface Highlights

RubikPara’s platform spanned both B2B and B2C financial experiences — each requiring precision, trust, and clarity in interface design. My focus was to unify complexity under a clean, consistent user experience.

From rapid onboarding to advanced merchant dashboards, each touchpoint was crafted with user needs, regulatory demands, and business goals in mind.

By maintaining consistency and visual clarity, I ensured usability even in the most complex fintech interactions.

Onboarding Process

We streamlined the onboarding experience to reduce friction and accelerate activation. By simplifying input fields, introducing progressive disclosure, and integrating contextual help, we enabled users to set up accounts within minutes — while maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Procedures

KYC procedures are a critical part of any regulated financial platform. For RubikPara, the challenge was to balance compliance, security, and user experience across both mobile and web flows.

We implemented a multi-step identity verification system that aligned with local regulations, yet remained frictionless for users. Key strategies included:

  • Progressive Disclosure: Users were guided through identity verification step-by-step, reducing cognitive load.

  • Real-Time Feedback: Input fields validated documents and user data instantly to prevent submission errors.

  • Upload UX Enhancements: Camera upload support, smart cropping, and retry prompts for document clarity improved success rates.

  • Clear Visual Indicators: Dynamic progress bars, status tags (e.g., "Pending", "Approved"), and contextual tooltips built trust throughout the journey.

  • Tiered Access Levels: Verified users were granted higher transaction limits and access to advanced financial features.

By designing a secure, transparent, and reassuring experience, we not only improved onboarding conversion but also reduced support tickets related to failed KYC steps.

Money Transfer

We created a consistent, multi-device flow for sending and receiving money. The UI accommodates various use cases — from peer-to-peer transfers to merchant payments — with real-time status updates, confirmation layers, and built-in safeguards against errors or fraud.

A Personal Note on Design, Growth, and the Fintech Journey

Looking back on this 2-year design partnership, RubikPara has been one of the most formative experiences of my career. Leading the product design process — across hundreds of unique screens and countless UX decisions — taught me how to distill complexity into clarity, especially in a space as layered and regulated as fintech.

Designing for both businesses and individuals pushed me to think holistically: about flows, scalability, compliance, and most importantly, people. From onboarding to transaction flows, every interface was a step toward building a smarter, more intuitive financial ecosystem.

But design in fintech is never “done.” As regulations change and user behaviors evolve, so must the product. And so must the designer.

This case study is not a finish line — it’s a snapshot of a dynamic journey that continues to grow. The work lives on. And I look forward to shaping the next chapter, one screen at a time.
